Welcome and thank you for your interest in our school.

My name is Sheila Smith and I am the center director.  I have been in the childcare business for 30 years.  I started as a teacher’s aide right out of high school.  I have been a teacher, assistant director, and director.  I have run both private schools and corporate schools.  Two of the corporate schools had enrollments of 200 or more children.  I have also worked in the public school system with special needs children.

 

I cannot think of a more rewarding profession than working with children.  I believe it is so important to provide a safe, loving, nurturing, as well as learning environment for children during their formative years.  Here at Top of the World Preschool we strive to provide a quality program that offers not only a high academic curriculum  that is age appropriate for each child but is also a fun, safe “home away from home”.
